Panos Kostopoulos is the Founder & CEO of Proxy Foods, a pioneering company that offers an AI Recipe Formulation SaaS platform designed to turbocharge R&D and catalyze innovation in the Food & Beverage industry. Panos is also the Co-Founder and Director of Cell Ag Greece, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing cellular agriculture research and fostering collaboration between academia and the industry. Born in Athens, Greece, Panos completed his graduate studies and research in chemical engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He then moved to the USA, where he extended his journey into Biotechnology with further research and graduate studies at Georgetown University in Washington DC. With over a decade of experience in biotech and food R&D, his work encompasses product development, innovation, and commercialization. He has hands-on experience with various technologies, including fermentation (biomass and precision/recombinant proteins), plant-based, cell-cultivated, and traditional agriculture. His entrepreneurial journey has navigated multiple settings, from academia to startups and corporate environments. Panos currently lives in the US, where he leads the mission of Proxy Foods while actively participating in the international food-tech community, advocating for animal welfare, and is dedicated to reshaping the way we feed our planet.
